Child Protection
§ To spread awareness and understanding among the masses about the problems of street children and to conduct research studies, seminars, and workshops for the awareness of public on this issue.
§ To voice the problems of street children, especially focusing on their struggle for survival.
§ To instill in street children a sense of future and hope and provide them all possible assistance to build a positive self-image.
§ To provide opportunities for basic services such as education, skill training, recreation etc, for the healthy growth and development of street children.
§ To re-unite street children with their families whenever possible and help the family members understand their children better.
§ To establish rehabilitation centers with the help of collected funds for street children.
§ To secure, receive, accept and manage funds, donations, grants, endowments and other movable property or immovable properties from lawful sources and utilize them for the furthering and promoting the aims and objectives of the foundation.
§ To be a role model for other organizations and governments so that they can benefit from us and develop meaningful programs for their own
Environment Protection
§ Plantation of plants to give a vital environment to the generations.
§ Workshops and awareness programs to educate people about the hazards to environment protection.
Literacy for all
§ Renaissance Development Organization will give renewed emphasis on literacy and numeracy skills for all people to enhance their employability, job satisfaction, level of remuneration and community participation.
§ There will be continuing emphasis on the need for all members of society to benefit from the sound education platform: Renaissance College and Renaissance Vocational Institute which provide adequate literacy and numeracy skills.
§ Workshops, seminars and lectures will be conducted to enhance the awareness of the importance of Literacy and numeracy skills.
§ To cater awareness about the facts that our society has moved on into the next century literacy is proving vital to economic performance. Without basic literary skills in one's possession they will become lost in our rapidly changing society. The modern worker must be able to adapt to the changing job-scene.
AIDS Awareness Program
§ The mission of the RDO AIDS Awareness Program is to provide educational information and create awareness in the community.
§ The Renaissance Development Organization’s (RDO) AIDS Awareness Program is committed to providing educational information and raising awareness about the threat of HIV/AIDS in the Communities of Pakistan.
§ For this purpose Renaissance Development Organization will work on development of educational training materials, Informational website, Articles and ads in local newspapers, Community presentations, and Annual Cultural sensitivity training for Health Care Providers, Cross-training Seminars.
Human Rights
§ Protection and promotion of human rights by all means.
§ Pivotal to the struggle of Renaissance Development Organization’s for Human Rights is Equality, Life and Security, Personal Freedom, Freedom to Speak, Freedom to Move, Economic, Social and Cultural Freedoms.
§ To Engage, Educate and Empower human beings.
§ Freedom of Religion and Belief.
Engaging Communities
§ Hold dialogues, conduct seminars, workshops, walks and arrange for lecture to enhance understanding that there must be focus on more effective community involvement in planning, decision making and service delivery.
§ Promote understanding of the concept of engagement and participative practices and its role in good governance
§ Explore ‘what works’, showcase innovation and promote good practice
§ Share practice knowledge across the globe, at local, regional and state levels; and promote learnings across disciplines and sectors
§ Discuss and develop conceptual and theoretical frameworks and directions for the future and the evidence base which underpins this practice
§ Build understanding and evidence of leadership, capacity and capability issues for citizens/community and government/institutions
§ Create ongoing national and international networks and collaboration creating communities of interest around the issue.
Global Peace
To work for achieving a unifying global consensus as the basis for a humane, ecologically viable, new global system promoting peace.
To work for providing a framework for programs and initiatives that advance the study and understanding of world peace grounded in a search for a just and sustainable world order.
To work for the absence of direct physical violence and war, and the elimination of structural violence which is the consequence of institutions and processes that diminish the material and spiritual quality of human life and degrade the natural environment. Our commitment is to work for a sustainable world order and focuses on four pillars of existence: The Human Environment, The Economic and Political Environment, The Cultural Environment, The Natural Environment.
Democracy
§ Our objectives for Democracy are: Sovereignty of the people, Government based upon consent of the governed, Majority rule, Minority rights, Guarantee of basic human rights, Free and fair elections, Equality before the law, Due process of law, Constitutional limits on government, Social, economic, and political pluralism, Values of tolerance, pragmatism, cooperation, and compromise and universal peace.
