Renaissance Development Organization (RDO) is a self-reliant, self-perpetuating, non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization. It looks forward to serve societies at large in whatever way it could. The services of Renaissance Development Organization (RDO) are multidimensional. They range from awareness programs to alleviation, from environment protection to fundraising programs and so on.

The action plan to meet our goals is two-fold. 

i)                    Awareness Programs and ii)

ii)                   Fund-raising Campaigns.

Awareness plans are agreed after developing a framework of values, principles and definitions, not only a purpose in itself but as a means to spiritual, social, cultural and financial participation of people. Renaissance college and fortnightly perspective ‘Nice Ties’ have played critical role in the cause of enlightenment and conducive environment building for better understanding and reasoning.

Fund-raising Programs prove successful and encouraging. People’s participation is assured and it is best practice to access services for social cause.

A huge sum of money was collected after Tsunami disaster to help Tsunami victims. For this purpose Renaissance Development Organization (RDO) combined its sources with Rotary and launched fund raising program to contribute to universal disaster relief struggle. For this purpose, RDO made arrangements for showing “Titanic” movie. People from different walks of life participated in this fundraising program. Support staff and volunteers students joined hands with Rotary international (Gujranwala Chapter) and organized a movie show in local cinema to raise funds. It generated immense response and the handsome money was collected which was the show of people’s emotions for victims.

In the same way, earthquake victims in Pakistan were hailed amid tears and sympathies by their country fellows-students contributed from their pocket money, salaries and they participated in fund Collection Campaigns.

Fund-Raising is entirely purpose-focused. It mobilizes and motivates community members to participate in welfare tasks and revitalizes their bond with community. People are generally empathetic and they yearn to be a part of charitable contributions.

Renaissance Development Organization has worked immensely with Rotary international to assist in rehabilitation- efforts of Tsunami victims. It was a silent phase of the help. Certificates of community Participation were printed and circulated extensively with an affordable cost-structure. The money raised was again delivered to the concerned partners and it left us with a sense of accomplishment to do welfare activities for the people who were our regional fellows. The precedent set is a bed rock for future help programs. It is testimony that efforts for social and people welfare are always strong enough to promote brotherhood among citizens and multicultural.

Help by Volunteers

A unique feature of our welfare plans is the participation of mobilized teams and task forces of student-volunteers who spreads and organize various activities to maximum performance level.

Student volunteers teach deserving students and learners in their vicinity and give feedback to college authorities. This chain of academic service is wonderful. It saves learners cost to tuition and bring them to get good grades. Free-teaching has thus become popular concept with volunteers. They consider it valuable service and take part in free-lance and volunteer their time, books and coaching for the best of others.

Another landmark service from the quarters of students is annual participation for tree plantation campaigns. It fosters love for healthy environment and helps in reaching to meet the goal of tremendous area plantation.

By joining hands, the circle of service widens. Almost ten thousand plants were purchased by RDO (from its own sourses) to be planted. First target of this program was the plant them in public and private Schools, Colleges, Offices and local road network.

Volunteer activities are engaging. They inculcate the spirit of ‘Serving and mobilizing- young blood is enthusiastic about life and environment up gradation. They are stimulated by the idea that for a better life, we have to contribute to society and to Nature. So that, this union bring us to the viability level and we could become active partners in progress.

RDO Volunteers donate time, books, services, potentials and much more. Blood donation is one of the major Volunteers projects.

Among extensive Renaissance Publications are forty-seven Books on topics of general interest like Travel, tourism, Politics, Pakistan and Literature and culture- society. An Extensive work on Pakistan’s industry and culture was published under the title ‘Made in Pakistan’ – it’s a great source of knowledge about Pakistan’s image and services. It served to improve Pakistan’s image abroad and to give a general know how about Pakistan.

Fortnightly ‘Nice Ties’ is a symbol of progress in the developing hamlet Gujranwala. Hailed by His Highness “Prime Minister of Pakistan”, as beginning of English Journalism in Gujranwala, it was named as ‘know of truth’. It is considered as a way to improve public opinion, educate masses about issues of social and economic nature. Moreover, it provides opportunities to young writers to write and be a part of writer’s Club.

‘Nice Ties’ showcases the changes and façade of social dynamics to the world as well. A year ago, a joint venture is undertaken in Australia whereby the Editor-in-Chief of prestigious Westender- weekly published in Brisbane Australia and Nice Ties was signed by Babar Saeed and Mr. Kerrod Trott. This was meant to exchange information views, and articles. This step has contributed to the development of unbiased and popular views to be shared with any international publication. It helps people to remain connected with opinions and thinking in an international context.

Renaissance Publications are integral in the service to disseminate critical and positive thinking strategies for its readership and has contributed a lot towards the growth of Book Culture in Pakistan.

Weekly newsletters about the activities of RDO are published for updates and ready references. It not only gives account of different projects but also highlights the event of the day. Newsletters are widely circulated among subscribers and concerned individuals.

Research Paper

Research done by academicians at Renaissance College is both on particular and specific topics and is usually academic in nature. They assist students in looking for required details and they are the source of broader views. Mostly the topics are related to Literature, Education and Public welfare. In this regard, Journals on Shakespeare’s corpus, Enlightenment, Human Rights, Democracy, New World Order, Energy and Water Crisis, Global Peace and so on.

Prospectus and Brochures, Test Materials, Internal exams material, admission forms, are designed, customized and created at Renaissance Publication Centre. It is a part of our professional job to give new ideas in compiled form which is presentable, authentic and valuable.

Job Placement

Renaissance Development Organization provides job placement opportunities- full as well as part time- to people. Jobs are advertised in our fortnightly and local dailies. Renaissance Vocational Training Institute offers regular employment opportunities, for learners as well as to aspiring individuals. CVs are received, interviewed of the prospects employees are conducted.

Moreover, Job Placement is also done by referring to other public or private organization by selection procedure.  Comprehensive Coaching to get appropriate jobs is delivered by the administration. The Coaching classes for job interviews, making résumé’s, entry tests and Professional skills.

Since its establishment, Renaissance College has given the provision of professional Coaching and teaching to its students. Besides this, many young graduates and Post-graduates have also worked as regular, whole time employees at Renaissance.
