Renaissance Development Organization (RDO) is a self-reliant, self-perpetuating, non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization. It is working since 1993 with a passion to serve marginalized, less-privileged sections in society as well as imparting general awareness to the masses at large to arouse concern about issues related to Socio-economic progress. However, the main concern remains the ideal to make our people educated, enlightened and help them to meet the demands of social and economic well-being.
RDO’s taskforce is composed of integrated groups of enlightened, liberal citizens and who have the zest to contribute to society keeping in mind that “think globally and act locally”. Besides this, the most important part of the taskforce of this organization is its volunteers who are mostly students of Renaissance College. RDO enjoys more than 5000 Volunteers’ support to work in close connection with other organizations in the projects like disaster management, tree plantation, and general awareness and so on. It is a dynamic organization which has quite recently, forged its way to the world, making international ties along with indigenous talent and sentiment. It helps mobilizing individuals to reach solutions through education, research and freedom of expression. In this context, the publication wing at Renaissance is rendering valuable services. Journalistic mode of public service is highly effective and rewarding.
Fortnightly perspective, ‘NICE TIES’ published, conceived and developed by the organization, deals with in-depth studies of issues of academic, political, cultural, and professional topics, to name a few. RDO believes in concerted efforts. So, it collaborates with other social organizations and public sector. In our case, we have been key partners with Rotary Club(s), People to People Gujranwala Chapter- thus winning to our side the true spirit of serving humanity.
Moreover, Social Welfare Department in the Punjab-the largest Province- is very supportive and supplements our endeavors to achieve the dream of social welfare. Ideas are exchanged and expertise is provided by RDO to give spur to the activities which form ‘Common Goals’ with Social Welfare Department of the Government of Punjab. On a broader scale, international joint ventures are in the offing. Close collaboration and partnership with Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty has been done to promote vocational Training in the county. Whereas, partnership with ‘Matrix English’ in Australia is meant to the promotion of the studies in English Literature and Language.
Pakistani experience is motivating. It is essentially reformative in spirit. While socio-economic indicators show a sorry figure and tell a turbulent story. RDO is the expression of people’s will to construct and develop; to rise to stand.
Central to RDO’s programs is the idea to use innovative, modern and technology based strategies to upgrade infrastructure and materialize collective goals. RDO envisions to focusing in on all those factors which are responsible for stability and happiness in society. Primary factors are education, employment and environment-the three’s- experts have declared them crucial.
RDO’s policy is to bridge people, by the power of dialogue and by believing in the strength of democracy, and by community development. Social connections encourage participation. We help to uplift our people, lest they not lose themselves in the whirlwind of economic problems. They are led to utilized interaction. Eventually, it teaches them to think beyond the visible. Now the new idea is the feeling that we are global citizens and we do share our role and rights in a global preview.
