Renaissance Development Organization (RDO) is a Non-governmental, non-political and non-profit NGO founded in 1996 by Babar Saeed along with a body of dedicated and like-minded people. To make it function properly a selfless and dedicated body of educationists, doctors and students pooled its potentialities, skills and expertise to render its services to the cause of ignored sections of humanity. This is done without discrimination or on the basis of religion, creed and clan or political affiliation or membership.
 

The areas of services comprise literacy, environment, health, and rehabilitation of alienated people, education, Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation and so on. The aim of the existence and work of the organization is to enable the humanity to effectively promote and advance in species friendly environs.

The focus of organization is to make a difference in alleviating poverty and empowering the people through literacy. Conceived first as a project involving networking of NGO for the promotion of literacy in the industrial hamlet Gujranwala and its satellite towns and villages, the program led to the realization of the critical issues of non-attendance of formal schools by girls, the need for quality education as an essential ingredient in assisting the country to reach the “Education for all” goal.

Renaissance Development Organization (RDO) envisions a literate, enlightened, tolerant and just society in which all individuals enjoy the rights and opportunities to realize their full potential in striving to attain both individual and collective goals.

Currently RDO is running Educational projects like Renaissance Postgraduate College, Renaissance School Systems, Renaissance Academy of Languages, and Renaissance Lingua Icon.

Besides this, “Nice Ties”-An English News Magazine (Simultaneously published from Lahore and Gujranwala) are among other projects to enhance awareness among masses.
